Our Lady of Confidence Carmelite Monastery was located in Savannah, Georgia. Unfortunately, the monastery closed, so I had to take down the website. Before this happened, I was hired to update and maintain the site.

Development

The original website was created with Wix by Kucia Consulting using one of the “Church” templates. As the needs of the monastery changed, more and more elements of the site needed to be modified or removed. I used this opportunity to eliminate many characteristic Wix “giveaways”. My goal was to make the website look as unique as possible within the time and design constraints I was working under.

Before I took down the website, I was able to back up the data with permission from the monastery staff. In the future, I would like to rebuild the site from scratch (minus the idenifying details) as a portfolio example. Until then, I have included screenshots showing what it looked like.
